About the Intake Initiative

 I built The Intake Initiative because I saw families walking into incarceration scared, confused, and alone. I watched people enter prison with no preparation, no guidance, and no understanding of what they were about to face. And I saw how that fear turned into violence, trauma, and broken family bonds. 

I knew there had to be a better way.

The Intake Initiative was born from one simple belief: No one should enter prison unprepared, and no family should face incarceration without support.

Today, we help individuals and families turn one of the hardest chapters of their lives into a chance to grow, stay connected, and rebuild.
